Prior to launching me and the rest of the bucki team ran some user testing and found out something terrifying; More than half of our users were abandoning the onboarding within the first screen. It didn’t take long to discover why: the flow was dense, required physical documents, and offered no real-time feedback — it felt clunky and insecure.
I took ownership of the complete redesign: conducting user interviews, heatmap analysis, session recordings, and drop-off mapping via analytics. Stitching all insights together, I conceived a multi-step mobile-first flow with inline validation and a UI that feels smoother. designed to instill trust at every tap.

We prototyped and soft-launched the new journey through A/B testing. The results were clear: completed sign-ups raised by 13%, average completion time dropped by 22%, and first-screen abandonment fell by 18%. Users told us the visual micro‑feedback reassured them — precious in a new product where trust is non-negotiable.
